Why does Mike Johanns love Planned Parenthood?

On Mike Johanns' website you will find this button which, when clicked, will tell you all about his "pro-life record." Too bad that Mike Johanns doesn't have a pro-life record.
"Mike Johanns was not pro-life before the primary and he's not pro-life after the primary just because he got the most votes. … Mike Johanns has been saying one thing and doing another since we met him." -- Bob Blank, Chairman of Metro Right to Life
For instance, did you know that Mike Johanns joined forces with Planned Parenthood to promote a candidate for University Regent? He only retracted his endorsement after pro-life groups threatened to withdraw full support for the Johanns administration and the NEGOP.

Did you also know, that as Mayor of Lincoln he failed to veto city funding for Planned Parenthood. Think about that, Mike Johanns has actually worked to FUND Planned Parenthood.

Would you expect anything less from a guy who was votes away from being the Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party. I wouldn't...and you shouldn't either.

Mike Johanns and John McCain Love ACORN

ACORN's been all over the news lately for committing voter fraud in 13 battleground states. Thankfully the federal government is cracking down these fraudulent groups.

John McCain has been ALL over attacking Barack Obama for doing work for ACORN in the late 80's but now it's come to light that John McCain has been working with ACORN his ENTIRE political career. He actually headlined a rally where ACORN was advocating for amnesty for illegals.

So I did a little digging and Mike Johanns has a similar record of support ACORN and there policies. Johanns has been, of course, for amnesty before he was against it.

We need a new Republican Party...

What happened to my Republican Party?

These past few weeks have marked the death of traditional conservative values in the Republican Party.

This past week Republican Senate candidate Mike Johanns proudly lent his voice to the $750 billion bank bailout. He even went so far as to tout how “important” the bailout was to save the economy. (Never mind it essentially caused the worst in the HISTORY of the DOW)

But explain this to me: if the bailout was so important, why did it contain $140 billion of earmarks? To go one step further, why did the banking bailout contain an earmark for, of all things, NASCAR?

Don’t get me wrong, I love NASCAR, but it is not my responsibility to fund one of the most expensive sports around. Last time I checked Burton Smith and Jeff Gordon were doing just fine.

How about me Governor Johanns? Did you wonder if I was fine when you lent your name to the bailout? I expect this from Barack Hussein Obama, but not from so-called Republican leaders.

Then again, Johanns is just showing his true colors. This is the same hack that's flip flopped on immigration and once ran for chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party.

Republicans deserve better. We deserve much better.

Mike Johanns is inconsistent on immigration

I was just listening to an interview with Republican Mike Johanns that made my stomach turn.

While discussing his “policies” he made sure to include that he will never support Amnesty for illegal immigrants. Sounds good at face value, right?

Wrong. In 2000 then-Governor Johanns told the Associated Press that we quote “needed the work.” Who can forget that as Secretary of Agriculture he campaigned for the so-called “comprehensive” immigration reform that failed in the Senate. Don’t forget that the unofficial nickname for this bill amongst conservative leaders was the Ted Kennedy Immigration Bill.

Now, Mike Johanns is running for U.S. Senate and expects Nebraskans to believe him when he says he will lead the fight against Amnesty? How can trust him to fight for us when we can’t trust him to uphold the basic Rule of Law?

This are my opinions...

...deal with it.
