What happened to my Republican Party?

These past few weeks have marked the death of traditional conservative values in the Republican Party.

This past week Republican Senate candidate Mike Johanns proudly lent his voice to the $750 billion bank bailout. He even went so far as to tout how “important” the bailout was to save the economy. (Never mind it essentially caused the worst in the HISTORY of the DOW)

But explain this to me: if the bailout was so important, why did it contain $140 billion of earmarks? To go one step further, why did the banking bailout contain an earmark for, of all things, NASCAR?

Don’t get me wrong, I love NASCAR, but it is not my responsibility to fund one of the most expensive sports around. Last time I checked Burton Smith and Jeff Gordon were doing just fine.

How about me Governor Johanns? Did you wonder if I was fine when you lent your name to the bailout? I expect this from Barack Hussein Obama, but not from so-called Republican leaders.

Then again, Johanns is just showing his true colors. This is the same hack that's flip flopped on immigration and once ran for chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party.

Republicans deserve better. We deserve much better.
